THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

India's first and only female Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi was born 98 years ago on November 19, 1917. Daughter of India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira was introduced to politics after India's Independence. She served unofficially as a personal assistant of her father during his tenure as the leader of the country.
One of the most admired leaders of our country, Indira Gandhi single-handedly solved many domestic and international crises. Her contribution to the social and political spectrum of the nation continues to influence contemporary leaders.
